Occupational Therapist, NRS Healthcare – Technical Training

JCM provided a product training day for a mixed group of Occupational Therapists and Warehouse Technicians.  All of our attendees said that the training was interesting, useful, relevant and helpful to their own roles, and that the team who provided the training were all very knowledgeable and keen to show how the products are assembled and adjusted.

The training was delivered in bite size chunks so that all attendees engaged and participated in the activities.

Everybody was very impressed with the factory tour; it was great to see your experienced and knowledgeable team producing high quality products.

And finally – thank you for the wonderful hospitality that you provided.  We had a great day and would recommend your training to anyone who works with paediatric equipment.  Well done to all at JCM.

Hi,

We would like to say thank you for sending out Brian Shields the rep to our house so quickly. He did a fantastic job at adjusting our Carrot 3 car seat for our son at age 7 who has just recently had a double spinal operation and grown 5 inches. Brian was extremely courteous had a very good knowledge of what was needed and he really is a credit the company. He listens and makes everyone feel at ease and if the company has something which would benefit the person he gives you time to think and gives information on charities.

We really appreciate all his help and we think you should know how good he really is. The staff in the office are also very efficient and kind too, thank you all so much.

Since starting our seating clinics in April 2012 we have been supported continuously throughout by JCM seating Solutions. JCM initially helped us to look at our refurbished stock and give us ideas in how we could invest and improve this. We then moved forwards with our seating clinics held on a 6 weekly basis. The first clinics were attended and supported by JCM’s Product Specialist Shawn Clarke who was able to quickly relate to the stock we had and assist with the reissuing this. Since Shawn moved to a different area we have been lucky to have JCM Product Specialist David Tollerfield working with us. Our clinics are a whole team effort of therapists, the Red Cross and manufacturers who jointly promote provision of postural seating. Wherever possible, this is from high quality refurbished stock. The group work as a team welcoming children into the clinic environment and as such the child receives a high level of skill and expertise related to their own specific unique postural needs. We now have a working solution set up of consignment stock which ensures we have some new seating readily available for the younger children who attend the clinics to enable to us to meet their requirements in the timeliest way. JCM have been fully committed to helping us work through any difficulties we have come across and we have a successful system working for the children of Nottinghamshire.

The service from trialling the equipment to the delivery and set-up was very friendly and professional. I was kept up to date and the set-up was arranged well in advance to ensure it was done as soon as the equipment was delivered. The free visits and no call out charge for any further adjustments are also very helpful for our service.

JCM have a very efficient service that works well for our children and their families and is flexible to fit around how I work as a professional.

The training provided by JCM about positioning when seated was in depth and aimed and adjusted to what we needed within our service. The balance between theory and practical was just right to ensure the information was understood and made relevant to our area of work and could be related to adults, not only children. I would recommend the training to any anyone interested in seating and positioning.

Senior OT / Senior Physiotherapist – Barnsley NHS

We arranged a trial of the seat as a result of being unable to comfortably seat a 9-year old child with extreme extensor spasm. When sitting in other special seating chairs the child would continually attempt to extend, resulting in discomfort, marking from straps and excessive perspiration.

In the Triton Dynamic seat, over a 2-week period none of the above mentioned problems occurred.
